
Raccoon Control

Habitat
Raccoons live in hardwood forests near water. They also can be seen around farmsteads and livestock watering areas.

Food Source
Raccoon are omnivorous eating both plants and animals. Plant food include but not limited to fruits, berries, nuts, acorns, and corn. They also feed on crayfish, clams, fish, frogs, snails, turtles, and a variety of eggs.

Disease
Raccoons are associated with rabies and roundworm which can cause blindness, brain damage, and death. Avoid raccoon roundworm by avoiding feces and items contaminated with feces.

Property Damage
Raccoons cause a variety of damage to buildings when they enter chimney structures or tear off shingles. They may also harm small livestock like chickens, and may cause damage to crops ranging from corn to watermelon, as well as freshly laid sod.

Mating Season
Raccoons mainly breed February-March but may occur from December-June depending on latitude. Most liters are born April-May.
