Skunk Control

Habitat
Skunks inhabit clearings, pastures and open lands bordering the forest. They find cover in thick timber and den in hollow logs, under porches, and abandoned woodchuck holes.

Food Source
Skunks diet consists of equal amounts of plants and animals during the fall and winter months. In the spring and summer, they will eat more animals with insects being preferred food source.

Disease
Skunks can have rabies but are not primary carriers.

Property Damage
Skunk odor can make for an unpleasant living or work place environment. Skunks dig holes in lawns, golf courses, and gardens searching for grubs. They will occasionally kill chicken and eat their eggs. They can also eat and damage corn crops.

Mating Season
Breeding happens in late January. Skunks tend to have their young in May and into the early part of June. Their litter usually consists of 2-5 young but can be up to 16.

ADC Solutions
Solutions include ethical trapping/removal and habitat modification to property and structures. Exclusion work varies including one way doors and below ground exclusion.
